Pomalux CN-SS (Conductive Acetal Copolymer) Stainless-steel-fiber-filled, non-sloughing, dimensionally stable material HDT @ 264 psi of 225° F. This material has relatively high chemical resistance, is extremely strong and stiff, and is an excellent choice for situations where carbon-based conductive fillers are not acceptable. Easily machined with carbide-tipped tooling to tight tolerances.

均聚甲醛的合成一般以甲醛的水溶液在酸的存在下縮合聚合。得到聚合度為100以上的a-聚甲醛，將其加熱分解成甲醛氣體，經(jīng)精制和脫水后，通常利用部分預聚合的方法純化單體，通入含少量引發(fā)劑的干燥溶劑中進(jìn)行聚合。因為水的存在，使分子量顯著(zhù)降低。引發(fā)劑可用路易斯酸或堿等。但大多用叔胺進(jìn)行負離子加成聚合，反應如下：聚甲醛的端基為半縮醛（—CH2OH），當溫度高于 100℃ 時(shí)，端基易斷裂，一般需經(jīng)端基處理使之穩定化。穩定化處理后可耐熱到230 ℃。多聚甲醛可在 170～200 ℃的溫度下加工，如注射、擠出、吹塑等。主要用作工程塑料，用于汽車(chē)、機械部件等。
